Self Check-in
Self Check-in
As a visitor (parent/guardian/non-guardian) enters your building, they should be directed to the kiosk. On the Welcome screen, they will click Check in. If you have enabled the Spanish Translation option, the next screen will prompt them to select their preferred language - English or Spanish.

On the next screen, depending on the Visitor system settings, visitors will be prompted to do one of two things:
- Enter their Check-in information
- Name (required)
- DOB (required)
- Phone # (optional depending on Visitor Settings)
- Please see the Important Note below.
OR
-
Scan their government-issued photo ID. If this option is enabled, visitors will be asked if they would like to scan a Driver’s License or a Passport.

- If scanning a license or state-issued ID card, they should click Driver’s License, then hold their license with the large barcode facing the camera. After a successful scan, the visitor’s license details will appear on the screen. If correct, they should click on the blue Confirm button. Visitors then see the message: “Thanks ________. Just a moment, we’re processing your info.” (This may take several seconds as the system is checking data bases.) Please see the Important Note below.

Important Note
If the visitor does not have a license or is a match on the National Sex Offender Registry and/or the Watch List, the visitor will be prompted to see the office staff person to continue.

Visitors will need to select either Student Drop Off or Student Pick Up and the specific reason. (The options for dropping off and picking up will be the ones that you included in the Kiosk Settings as you were setting up the Visitor Module.)

The visitor will then type the name of the student(s) and then click Proceed.

For non-guardians, after entering the name(s) of the student, that person will need to enter the phone number for the student’s parent/guardian. A one-time password will be sent to the child’s parent/guardian’s mobile number; and upon successful verification, the non-guardian will be able to pick up the student(s).
- Enter the phone number of the parent/guardian. (If that number matches the number Visitor has on record, a one-time code will be sent to the child’s parent/guardian.
- The parent/guardian will send that code to the adult picking up their student.
- The non-guardian will enter that code into the kiosk to be approved .
If the non-guardian verification fails, your front desk staff can allow the guest to pick up the student. The non-guardian will need to check in with the front desk person (that person will enter the necessary exception details in the Visitor web application).
Once completed, the visitor will see the following screen.
