Out of Office
Out of Office (OOO) allows you to virtually lock your door (or close your room) when you are not there or are not available to see students. This means no passes, STU (student created) or TCH (adult created) can be made to you. If you are associated with a location, you can set up an OOO for that location, and during that OOO no passes can be made to the location. Appointment Passes can be made to you or your location during an OOO.
If you are absent and a Sub is covering for you, you may not want to set up an OOO. Your school admin may prefer to see that a Sub is approving passes being made to/from "you", and therefore you would not want to set an OOO instance. This will help to keep a record of the passes that were created while you were absent. A Sub can act on passes made to you by entering their assigned PIN directly on the student's device.
When creating an “Out of Office” instance, you can choose “My leave” or any location with which you’ve associated yourself in your “User Settings”. (An OOO for a shared location will show up under each user who is associated with that location. Anyone associated with that location can end/edit/delete the OOO. In addition, Admins will be able to create an OOO instance for any adult or location.)
Click on the Out of Office menu option on the left side of the screen OR click the blue Create button icon and then the blue Out of Office tile.

Click the blue + Out of Office button in the upper right corner, and then complete the form. Remember to click Create before leaving the page.

A comment is NOT required but can be added if you wish to share why you are not available during this specific time.
Additionally, you can see your current and completed OOO instances. If you need to find a specific OOO instance, download this list for future reference, or act on an OOO instance, use the “Search” option, click on the Download icon, or click on the vertical three (3) dots under the “Action” column. If editing an Out of Office instance, you will be able to modify the “End time” and “End on” date (if applicable).

When you have an active OOO instance, you will notice the word “ON” next to the Out of Office menu option on the left side of the screen as well as an OOO banner on your Dashboard.

If you wish to end an OOO instance early, you can click on the X to the right of the Out of Office title or click on the Out of Office menu option, click on the three (3) vertical dots under the Action column and select End or Delete.
