Onboarding Another School That Shares an Existing Customer Domain

If two different schools use the exact same email domain for their users, the second school must be onboarded to the same Securly customer account. It should not be created as a separate, standalone account.

How to onboard the second school

1. Confirm that staff and students at both schools use the exact same domain after the @ in their email addresses.
2. Tell your Securly onboarding contact that you are adding another school that shares the existing customer's domain.
3. Add the second school as another school or location under the existing customer account.
4. Complete any school-specific setup required for the products the second school will use.

This keeps users with the shared domain associated with one customer account while still allowing the schools to be represented separately within that account.

If the domains are different

Domains that only look similar are not necessarily the same domain. For example, school.example.org and example.org are different domains. If the schools do not use the exact same email domain, ask your Securly onboarding contact to confirm the correct account structure before setup begins.
