Aware › FAQ
Do I need a separate extension for the Wellness Widget?
No. The Wellness Widget is a feature of Securly Aware, and it is delivered through the same single Securly browser extension that you already deploy for Filter and Aware — it is not a separate extension.
How Securly's extensions actually work
- Securly Filter and Securly Aware share one extension. On Chrome this is the single Securly Chrome extension; on Edge it is the equivalent single Securly Edge extension. You do not install a separate "Filter extension" and "Aware extension."
- The Wellness Widget and Think Twice are Aware features that this same extension surfaces on the student's browser. There is no standalone "Wellness Widget extension" to deploy.
- The Wellness Widget is available only to Securly Extension users. If a district enforces Aware without the Securly extension, the Wellness Widget and Think Twice are not available.
- Other Securly products that do ship their own separate extensions (for example Securly Classroom and Securly Reveal) are unrelated to this — owning them is what changes how many distinct Securly extensions a district deploys.
Where to find your exact extension IDs
Your district's exact extension ID(s) and update-manifest URL are listed on your Filter Settings > Account Details page. Use those values (and the extension deployment articles) when pushing the Securly extension through Google Workspace or your MDM — there is no additional Wellness Widget extension ID to add.
