Pass › FAQs
Does Securly Pass manage student class schedules?
No. Securly Pass does not manage, import, or store student class schedules. Pass is a hall-pass and student-movement system — it does not track which classes a student is enrolled in or when those classes meet, and there is no place to enter a student's schedule (one schedule or two).
So the answer to "can we enter two different schedules for a student in Pass?" is that there is no student schedule in Pass to enter at all. Pass does not need a student's schedule to work.
What about "Periods" in Pass?
Pass does have a Periods setting, but it is easy to mistake for scheduling. Periods in Pass are only a visual label associated with appointment times, used for informational purposes on Appointment Passes. As the Pass Admin Guide states: "We are not importing student schedules or tying defined Periods to a bell schedule." Creating Periods does not build or import any student's class schedule.
What Pass actually does
- Issues and tracks hall passes (Roundtrip, one-way, and Appointment passes) for student movement.
- Lets adults create Appointments to schedule time with students (Appointment Pass module) — this is adult-created meeting time, not a student's class schedule.
- Enforces limits, pass blocking, and location capacity.
