Securly Sync
The Securly Sync tab contains settings that enable syncing roster data from any SIS that is connected to Securly Sync.
Securly Sync is a centralized rostering solution to manage data for all your Securly products, including Classroom.
Securly Sync supports connection through OneRoster, Direct API connection, PowerSchool integration, and custom connections including SFTP if needed. It replaces Clever rostering, but retains Clever SSO. It can also replace or supplement Classlink while retaining Classlink SSO.
You may choose to edit the following sync options:

| Use this integration as a source for Username | When enabled, Securly Classroom will automatically pull usernames from the SIS that is connected to Securly Sync. Districts using Windows and Mac devices can also set rules to reformat usernames as it comes from the sync source to ensure they match their local device login requirements. This should be configured with the assistance of Securly Support. |
| Auto create school from roster data | When enabled, the sync process will automatically create new school locations in Securly Classroom based on data found on the roster import. If not selected, all classes from the sync will be created in the Main Location. |
| Add field to class names to avoid duplicate names | Lets you append fields (period, academic session title, class code, source ID) to class names to easily tell apart classes with the same name. |
| Daily sync start | Sets the time Classroom pulls data from Securly Sync each day. This does not change when Securly Sync gets data from the school's SIS. |
| Force sync | Forces a sync outside the scheduled time. This pulls data from Securly Sync and does not trigger a sync from the school's SIS. |
| Role mapping | When the option to import Admins is selected, this setting allows incoming users with roles of teachers, aides, and admins to be assigned to the selected role in Securly Classroom. |
Auto-Archive Classes
Under the Auto-Archive Classes section on the right, admins can configure roster sync sources to:
Automatically archive classes that are no longer present in the source data. This setting is enabled by default. If unchecked, the class remains unarchived, but its teachers and students are removed — hiding it from the teacher's class list.
Automatically archive classes classes based on the academic session end date. Simply check this option to reveal the date picker and specify your session end date.
Automatically unarchive and restore classes if they are detected in sync source. Classes that were manually archived will also be unarchived if they reappear in source.

Note: You do not need to use Securly Sync in order for integrations with other Securly products (such as Securly Pass and Securly Filter) to function properly. The only necessary information needed in both systems is user emails, as these emails must match to properly sync data and actions.
